It was Friday afternoon, and Juan, María, and Pedro were excited about their weekend trip to the beach. They had planned this for weeks. They imagined swimming in the sea and sunbathing. But suddenly, Juan checked the weather forecast. "Oh no!" he said. "They predict rain all weekend!" Everyone looked worried. They didn’t want to cancel their trip, but the rain could ruin it.

María suggested that they could go to the mountains instead of the beach. "In the mountains, we can hike and enjoy nature," she said. Pedro agreed. "Yes, and if it rains, we can stay in a cabin," he added. Juan thought it was a good idea. So they decided to change their plans quickly. They called their friend Carlos, who had a cabin in the mountains.
