El Primer Día de Clases de Idiomas / The First Day of Language Class
Hoy es el primer día de clases de español. Juan está emocionado pero un poco nervioso. Se levanta temprano y se prepara. Se mira en el espejo y dice: '¡Voy a aprender algo nuevo hoy!' Juan sale de casa y camina hacia la escuela. El sol brilla y el clima es agradable. Llega a la escuela y ve a otros estudiantes. Todos parecen ansiosos y felices.
Today is the first day of Spanish class. Juan is excited but a little nervous. He wakes up early and gets ready. He looks in the mirror and says, 'I am going to learn something new today!' Juan leaves the house and walks to school. The sun is shining and the weather is nice. He arrives at school and sees other students. Everyone seems anxious and happy.
En el aula, Juan encuentra un lugar al lado de una chica llamada Ana. Ella también es nueva en la clase. La maestra entra y se presenta. Se llama Señora Gómez. Ella es simpática y sonriente. Explica que aprenderán muchas cosas interesantes este año. Juan escucha atentamente. La maestra les dice que van a hablar sobre sus países y sus culturas. Juan se siente más relajado.
In the classroom, Juan finds a seat next to a girl named Ana. She is also new to the class. The teacher enters and introduces herself. Her name is Mrs. Gómez. She is nice and smiling. She explains that they will learn many interesting things this year. Juan listens carefully. The teacher tells them they will talk about their countries and cultures. Juan feels more relaxed.
