Un Telefon Important / An Important Phone Call
Maria stătea liniștită în living, citind o carte. Telefonul ei a sunat brusc. A ridicat receptorul și a văzut numărul unui prieten bun. Îi era dor de el, dar de ce suna atât de devreme? A răspuns cu o voce curioasă, "Salut, ce mai faci?".
Maria was sitting quietly in the living room, reading a book. Her phone rang suddenly. She picked it up and saw the number of a good friend. She missed him, but why was he calling so early? She answered with a curious voice, "Hi, how are you?".
Prietenul ei, Andrei, avea o voce serioasă. "Maria, am vești importante! Am câștigat la loterie!". Inima Mariei a început să bată repede. Era fericită pentru el, dar se simțea și confuză. "Ce înseamnă asta pentru tine?" a întrebat ea.
Her friend Andrei had a serious voice. "Maria, I have important news! I won the lottery!". Maria's heart started to beat fast. She was happy for him, but also felt confused. "What does this mean for you?" she asked.
